ABOUT THIS CENTER

Nagisa Museum opened in Shigetomi Beach in the city of Aira, Kagoshima Prefecture, on 5 April 2015. This facility showcases the attractions and wildlife found in Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, particularly Kinkowan Bay district. The museum can also be used for educational experiences, environmental education and similar purposes.

The museum has permanent staff. Visitors are invited to come and enjoy themselves here. We look forward to your visit.

    open every day from 9:00 to 18:00 / until 19:00 in summer

    only open during crowded times
  • Nagisa Parking Lot
    open every day from 9:00 to 18:00 / until 19:00 in summer
    • Please use the Nagisa Parking Lot if you are coming via a large bus.

    Meals are not allowed on site.
    Please use the rest area next to your meal.

    Please refrain from entering pets as the creatures are bred in the museum. Assistance dogs such as service dogs can enter.

    Please take garbage home
    There are no trash cans inside the building or on Shigetomi Beach. Please bring your own trash with you.

    Use of fire is prohibited
    The pine forest on Shigetomi Beach is a windbreak protected forest. Use of fireworks, barbecues and other fires on the coast is prohibited to preserve the pine forest.

    Smoking is prohibited in and around the building (slope, stairs, walking). There is no smoking space.
